| Lisa Lowell is a journeywoman vocalist,
songwriter, and rock n’ roll back-up singer/ arranger who lives
with her wildcat “Skeeter” on New York’s upper West
Side. The off-spring of a jazz drummer father and jazz singer mother,
she grew up listening fervently to rhythm and blues, jazz and country
/ soul. She decided as a young tyke that music was the obvious path
for her. |

| Lisa has appeared on numerous records (See
Discography). Among them, Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and
the Asbury Jukes, Patti Scialfa, Soozie T yrell, Buster Poindexter to
name a few. She most recently appears on Patti Scialfa's 23rd St. Lullaby CD, and is mentioned in press articles and on PBS radio as one of three singers, along with Soozie Tyrell, in Patti’s pre-Bruce street singing and performance adventures in N.Y.C. Lisa is also a contributing guest artist on Elliot Sharp's 2004 release, Radio Hyper Yahoo which also features Eric Begosian, Steve Buscemi, Maggie Estep, Edwin Torres, Eric Mingus, and others. Her contribution, "In The Country", is a co-penned number with producer/guitarist Elliott Sharp. For 12 years she toured with David Johansen, a.k.a Buster Poindexter, in his "Banshees Of Blue" and "Spanish Rocket Ship" bands. Other live performance credits include work with Bruce Springsteen, Garland Jeffreys, Patti Scialfa, Soozie Tyrell, BB King, Jon Popper, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, Macy Grey, Darlene Love, Ashford And Simpson, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Gary U.S. Bonds, Willy DeVille, Jon Bon Jovi, Mary Wilson, RuPaul, Ben E King, Sissy Houston, Ernie K Doe, Percy Sledge, Bobby Blue Band, Chuck Jackson, Blondie Chaplin, Nils Lofgren, Stephen Bishop, Kate Pierson (B-52's) and Fred Schneider (B-52's), and others. |
