Lisa Lowell vocalist, songwriter, and background vocalist/arranger is most popularly noted for appearing with and having sung on several Bruce Springsteen albums, Lucky Town and The Ghost of Tom Joad, Devils and Dust, and most recently sang on the record and toured with Bruce’s The Seeger Sessions Band in 2006 (currently called the “Sessions Band”). Lisa had also been recording with and appearing in videos and live with Bruce since 1990.

In 2007-2008 Lisa also joined up with E Streeter Patti Scialfa’s band along with Lisa Fisher, Robin Clark and Soozie Tyrell to perform songs on Letterman, SNL, Good Morning America and The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien promoting Patti’s soulful “Play It As It Lays” record, on which she also sang. There was no extended tour due to Bruce’s announcement of a tidalwave tour for the E Street Band, where Patti would join her husband.

For two years now, Lisa has been working on a self-penned about to be released “record” (she still prefers to call them that). “Beautiful Behavior” is a group of compositions she was going to release on Gaff Music, the late Scott Beal’s label. She has recorded and is releasing it independently in the US and Europe. Her musicianly team boasts a spectacular cast of New York studio performers with:

Lisa is also working on a self-scribed book of memoirs—working-title: “Voices in the Shadows”—about her life and times as a journeywoman back-up vocalist.

Throughout the ‘90s, Lisa was a regular at the Bottom Line, NYC and various concerts and shows as a “Busterier” background vocalist/dancer with New York Doll’s luminary David Johansen/aka Buster Poindexter's "Banshees of Blue" and "Spanish Rocket Ship" bands. She co-arranged and appeared on his hit song “Hot, Hot, Hot” with cronies Patti and Soozie.

Credits include: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Show, Special Performances (BBC Television), Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America,Today Show, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with David Letterman, Martin Mull’s America Tonight, Second City T.V. in Edmunton, The Ru Paul Show, and numerous other television productions. As a youngster she appeared in and sang on the soundtrack for in the movies Fame and Eddie and the Cruisers.

She also performed in a Bruce Springsteen video and two Buster Poindexter videos.

In Christmas 2000, Lisa performed for President and First Lady Clinton for the Shriver's Special Olympics benefit on the White House lawn. As part of Jon Bon Jovi's house band, she sang back-up vocals for BB King, John Popper, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, Macy Gray, Darlene Love and Jon, himself, after which an album was released: “A Very Special Christmas Vol 5.”
